Can-Do Child® Activity Cards
These sample activities show how easy it is to nurture crucial characteristics and skills in your child from a young age, through everyday moments.
The activities take into account general developmental milestones, but the recommended ages are intended as guidance only. It is important your child sets the pace at which they learn and that their innate curiosity to find out more takes precedence over rigid conceptions of age appropriateness.
Each activity indicates whether it is best suited to being carried out at home, out and about, or with others – in most cases they can work well with one or more children wherever you are (many require little or no resources other than imagination), so don’t feel restricted by this.
There is also a grid for each activity highlighting the core characteristics and skills your child is developing and learning through their play.
The activities are designed to be easy and fun, to happen in a natural way. Work with your own intuition and experience of what is best for your child at that moment in their development, and follow their pace. If a particular activity feels ‘forced’ and not naturally enjoyable, then trust your instincts to adapt and re-invent. The goal is to support self-confident parents in raising happy, creative, confident children. This process starts with having faith in yourself and your child as you learn and grow through playing together.

يبين كل نشط إذا كان من الأنسب القيام به في المنزل أو خارجه أو مع الآخرين - وفي معظم الحالات يمكن القيام بجميع النشاط من قبل الأطفال فردياً أو جماعياً لذلك لا تقيد نفسك بهذا الموضوع..
هناك أيضا شبكة لكل نشاط يسلط الضوء على الخصائص والمهارات الأساسية التي يتعلمها طفلك ويطورها من خلال اللعب.
تم تصميم الأنشطة لكي تكون مسلية وسهلة التطبيق . اتبع حدسك الخاص وتجربتك وافعل ما هو الأفضل لطفلك خلال مرحلة تطوره. إذا شعرات أن هناك نشاطاً معيناً يبدو إجبارياً وغيرممتع ، أعد صياغته وفقاً لحدسك وغريزتك . الهدف من ذلك هو دعم الآباء الذين يتمتعون بالثقة بالنفس في تنشئة الأطفال السعاء والمبدعين والواثقين. تبدأ هذه العملية انطلاقاً من ثقتك وإيمانك بنفسك وتستمر طوال فترة التعلم واللعب سوياً .
